Art: Lynne Taetzsch

Lynne Taetzsch is an abstract artist from New York... I love this painting and much of her work.  I'm not sure what it is about abstract paintings that make me want to paint and paint and paint!  Love it!

Kadinsky - Abstract Art

One of my favorite paintings is by Wassily Kadinsky.  It's an abstract painting.  Very colorful, circles inside squares.  I have this picture framed in my room.  It's quite small but I love having it around.  It makes me happy when I look at it.  Now that I think about it, I should bring it to work... Anyway, I painted a picture like this in 2nd grade.  It was abstract (of course I didn't know it at the time) and there were shapes and colors all over the place.  It actually got chosen by the Columbus Arts Council to showcase at the Arts Festival here in Columbus.  I should find it and take a photo of it... for another time.

Looking at the World through HB BRIGHT EYES...

I'm starting this blog because I'm in a rut.  Most of us experience this a few times in our lives.  It's kinda like a mid-life crisis but it's more geared towards my job and profession then the fact I'm inching up on 30.  I work a normal 9-5 job in the suburbs.  I'm a mom.  I'm also a music freak. I'm obsessed with makeup and clothes.  I'm your regular girly girl who needs an outlet before I shop myself into debt.  I'm also an artist.  I love to create things. I paint and write and I have so much potential inside of me... I need to let it out!  So here it is... the world through BRIGHT EYES.  I think we all need some inspiration... don't you?
